Our singular purpose as a church is to navigate people to God. We believe that all people were created by God and are meant to be in relationship with Him. God has provided a way for people to know Him through Christ and we live to proclaim that message of hope and forgiveness. Everything we do centers on two great principles. The first is the Great Commandment which challenges us to love the Lord our God with all our mind, soul, and strength and to love others. The second is the Great Commission which commands us to go and make disciples.

We would love for you to join with us in moving the Kingdom of God forward. At Compass Christian Church you can expect to be loved, challenged, and valued. It is our desire that every person who calls themselves Christian would become a fully devoted follower of Jesus. We believe this happens through participation in daily private and weekly corporate worship, actively serving Christ with your unique gifts and talents, engaging relationally with others for accountability and encouragement, and navigating others to God through lifestyle evangelism.
 

In God as the absolute and sole creator of the universe. (Genesis 1:1)

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority in all things. (2 Timothy 3:16)

There is only one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Romans 8; Ephesians 1:13-14)

The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

God sent his only son into the world to save us from our sins. (John 3:16)

Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man; that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, in which He taught and did mighty works and wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the four Gospels; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later he ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is head of the church and intercedes for believers. He will come down from heaven again, to earth to receive His own to be with him forever. (Colossians 1:15-20, John 1:14, Revelation 22:20)

Salvation is a free gift from God; it is not deserved nor can it be earned. We believe that we are saved by God’s grace by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. Because we believe in Jesus, we respond in faith through repentance, confession of Christ as Lord, baptism by immersion and living an obedient life led by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38)
